L J O'Brien is an accountancy practice established in 2001 and based on the outskirts of Chester, close to Ellesmere Port. In 2013 it expanded with the employment of another Chartered Accountant to extend the range and capacity of the practice. As fully qualified Chartered accountants we are required to be up to date with continuing professional development (CPD) and the firm is subject to a practice assurance regime implemented by ICAEW.
Lorna graduated from Swansea University in 1988 with a BA (Hons) in Pure Mathematics. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant and joined the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 1994, becoming a fellow of the Institute in 2009. Having trained in practice, Lorna has worked within the NHS internal audit, industry and commerce fulfilling roles of project accountant, financial accountant and finance manager, prior to returning to practice in 1998.
In 2001 she established the firm of L J O'Brien. John graduated from Cardiff University in 1989 with a BSc (Econ) in Accountancy and qualified as a Chartered Accountant joining the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 1992.
