NfP Accountants
NfP Accountants Ltd is a firm of charity accountants in London. The firm specialises in integrated financial management for small charities and social enterprises in the Greater London area. The firm was created by Chartered Accountant Charles Ssempijja with the vision of becoming the small charity accountants and business advisers of choice, linking financial management, strategic governance, and operations.

NfP Accountants brings a new approach to charity financial management for small charities or social enterprises, where existing strengths are identified and enhanced, and financial management is connected with the rest of the organisation, in order to facilitate the achievement of its objectives. As part of our commitment to the small charity sector, NfP Accountants works only with charities whose income is below 1.5m a year.

We are especially keen to work with charities whose income is below 500,000 a year. NfP Accountants provides small charities with a designated high calibre accountant, without having to suffer the huge cost that would normally come with.
Services
NfP Accountants offers a full range of accounting services for small charities and social enterprises.
Every organisation is unique, and their needs can change from time to time.
With NfP Accountants, you have total freedom in choosing the services that meet your needs.
Delivering on time, every time (30-day guarantee on accounts preparation and all assurance assignments).
Even in a small organisation, one can feel like they're drowning in paper.
Invoices, receipts, vouchers, bank letters & statements, compliance letters, etc.
They seem to accumulate so fast and become such a chore.
Soon, the mundane bookkeeping tasks take your time away from running and growing the organisation.
The challenge that many small charities and social enterprises face is that their bookkkeeping systems are not set up to meet the financial reporting and management requirements of the organisation.
NfP Accountants appreciates that "small does not mean simple" when it comes to charity accounting for small charities and social enterprises.
They often have to deal with the same financial management & reporting issues as their larger counter-parts: from dealing with fund analyses, contract income, VAT regulations, and sometimes, trading subsidiaries.
Therefore NfP Accountants' approach is to take every opportunity to provide value added services for small charities and social enterprises.
There are some key differences in financial management for the charity sector compared to other sectors.
For the non-accounting staff, reading financial documents can be a daunting experience.
This is not helped by the various nuances that are specific to charity accounting and financial management.
Therefore from time to time, NfP Accountants delivers charity finance training for non-accounting staff to help them better understand the finances of their organisations.
In the meantime, we are building something of a mini-dictionary that non-accounting staff may find useful.
Our "Glossary: a lay person's version of charity accounting terms" will help you decipher some of those technical terms.
Choosing a new accounting / finance system that is fit for purpose in a charity can be a daunting exercise.
Unlike commercial entities, charitable organisations tend to have multi-faceted reporting requirements, from different stakeholders, which put a lot of pressure on their finance and management teams.
Income and expenditure in their natural headings, which may be sub-divided into headings that are more relevant to their internal management;.
Sub-categorise income and expenditure by activity (fundraising, charitable activities, governance, support costs) which may not necessarily be the same as those in a) above;.
