Geoffrey Alton, the present senior partner is the son of Albert Alton.
In the 1930s they opened an office in Coventry but following the destruction of that office during the war, it was decided that Sidney Jones should take over those clients and work from home.
In 1955, Maurice Hunter retired to the Isle of Man.
Geoffrey's two daughters, Melodie and Fiona, both Chartered Accountants having trained at Hunter Jones Alton, joined their father in partnership around 2000 with Melodie leaving in 2006 to start a family.
