APH Accountants
APH was formed in 2010 and was the brainchild of our MD Paul. Paul had 9 years working as a Management Accountant at Bristol Myers Squibb one of the largest Pharmaceutical Companies in the world and 3 Years as a Group Financial Controller for Enron officially the largest company in the world at that time. Having gained national and international exposure in the running of large companies Paul decided to branch out on his own 1996 and has owned and managed a number of successful businesses.

His extensive experience has seen him own businesses from a Pharmaceutical Packaging Business to a Logistics Business both employing over 70 staff and turning over in excess of 7 Million. He has also owned a number of smaller successful businesses.

After many years of doing this and experiencing for himself the lack of support and advice at the traditional high street accountants (and some of the much bigger names) he decided to set up his own Wirral based Accountancy Practice in 2010 to share his expertise and knowledge of the last 30 years with clients who are looking for the right Chartered Accountant and Business Growth Advisor for their business.

Employers will need to top up the government's contribution, which is now 60% of wages (up to a maximum cap of 1,875) to ensure the employee receives the requisite 80% (up to 2,500).
These restrictions have been relaxed slightly in recent years, e.g.
However, these rights and the underlying time limits etc. are often a source of confusion.
They have changed since self-assessment was introduced in the 1990s, which some taxpayers are completely.
For example, a higher rate taxpayer can claim tax relief to offset their income tax bill on qualifying donations made via the gift aid scheme.
