Terry Prosser was appointed a member of AAT and ACCA in 1997 and 1999 and has since been made a fellow member of both professional bodies. He started out in the accountancy profession at the age of sixteen by taking a random YTS placement with a local firm of accountants on Canvey Island. Against the advice of his parents who thought YTS was slave labour, after the initial probation period Terry started studying AAT at a local college and found a career that was enjoyable and rewarding.
After completing the first year of AAT and getting a taste for the profession, Terry worked for a few London firms based in the Holborn area (including Baker Tilly, a top 20 firm of accountants) while continuing his studies with AAT then ACCA.
