He attended Pen-Y-Bryn Primary School and Llanrumney High School in Cardiff.
He went on to complete the examinations for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) at Gwent Tertiary College, Newport Campus.
He then studied at the University of Wales Newport, successfully completing the examinations for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
His first job was as a Finance Clark at ATL Telecom in St. Mellons.
He then went on to work for Agincourt Practice Chartered Accountants and then HSJ Accountants as a Senior Accountant.
