I have worked for Ellacott Morris since it was founded in 2011, as well as previously running the sole trade, Ellacott Morris Bookkeeping. Started my accounting career long before I knew it. I worked in insurance and did regular bank reconciliations (which I loved) but didn't even know it was accounts work. I've been with the company for over 5 years since my wife Michelle persuaded me to get on board with her vision.
I'm married to the boss. I enjoy spending quality time with my children, and am a keen but decidedly average golfer. I run a charity called SCIN, Support Children In Nepal, that I set up after I came back from doing voluntary work in an orphanage in Nepal. I am the newest member of staff as I had been a Secondary School teacher all my working life until last year.
I am enjoying my change of career very much. I have the immense privilege of being Mum to two of the others. I can thoroughly recommend having your daughter as your boss. Not many people know this, but when I was younger, my family thought it would be funny to introduce me to a real stuffed boar head (who they lovingly called Boris) in a unique and inescapable way.
