Julia completed her training at a firm of Chartered Accountants in Windsor, spending time working in all areas of the firm.
She qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1991 and was soon promoted to Tax Manager.
She studied for her Chartered Tax Adviser examinations, passing these within 6 months and gaining the qualification in 1992.
In 1994 Julia moved to an accountancy practice in Henley-on-Thames taking the position of Partner's Assistant and within 18 months was promoted to Partner.
