As an expat who has recently returned to England, I had been looking for a UK-based accountant for several months, primarily to file my taxes, and also to provide lots of ancillary tax advice. After considerable research, I found Emma and GTC. Emma is friendly, smart and competent, extremely knowledgeable about the UK tax code and HMRC procedures, and very much on top of things.

The GTC website and wizard are well designed - better than others I have encountered - making uploading to the portal easy. Emma returned my emails or messages within hours, with full and complete responses, and provided other support and HMRC communication quickly and efficiently. My taxes were completed within days, and Emma stayed abreast of things to ensure the payment went through properly. Emma and GTC made filing UK taxes as stress-free as possible. I will certainly use their services again next year.
