HMRC now require you to submit information to them on how much you have paid your staff for each pay period.
This means that HMRC will know the Employers Liability at the time or before the employee is paid.
The payment made each month either by cheque by the 19th of the month or by faster payment on the 22nd Month - those dates haven't changed - the thing that has changed is that HMRC now know what payment to expect from the employer on those dates, whereas on the old system HMRC only knew what to expect at the time when the year-end submission was done and the annual liability was declared.
