Despite major misgivings and deep objections from the accountancy world as a whole these appear to have fallen on deaf ears at HMRC.
HMRC believe that this will ensure fewer errors in supplying information to them.
Typically with HMRC projects, the Governments estimates of costs for this change to businesses appear to be massively understated and this has been challenged in the House of Commons.

In conjunction with our software supplier IRIS we can now offer our clients this service with no additional charges and plenty of savings in your time and postage.
You will still receive our usual correspondence telling you your tax liabilities and your copy of your final accounts, but you will no longer need to sign and return the bulky tax returns and office copies of accounts.

Having reviewed numerous software packages we have taken the decision to partner with a software provider, KashFlow, however we do also work with other well known software providers such as Xero, Sage and Quickbooks.
With the HMRC initiative 'Making Tax Digital' on the horizon, we envisage that by mid 2018 every business will be on some form of digital software.
