Stephenson Nuttall is a progressive general practice accountancy firm with its roots deep in the business community of the East Midlands. The origins of the practice date back to 1863 but the firm was established in its existing format in 1938 when Tom Nuttall acquired the practice of Stephenson Nuttall & Co then operating from 22 Castle Gate, Newark.
In 1968 the practice moved to its current location at 6-8 Castle Gate, Newark. The practice has four partners, Sir Peter Parker, Tom Hudson, Adrian Haigh and Ashley Akeroyd, who lead an experienced and professional team.

At this initial meeting we would discuss your requirements with you.
These may be purely compliance, being preparation of annual accounts together with Self Assessment Tax Returns, or may involve business start-up advice, raising finance, initial cashflow forecasts or profit projections.
We can also prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts and provide advice on taxation liabilities based on current profits and anticipated future profits.

Sir Peter was at Pricewaterhouse, where he qualified, between 1969 and 1975, before spending two years at Raleigh Industries (cycle manufacturers) and a further two years at NAAFI in Nottingham.
He then joined a local firm of estate agents and chartered surveyors based in Newark from 1980 to 1987, where he was the partnership accountant and specialised in flat management and residential service charge accounts.
